How many sensors does a block need?

We deploy in sets, not single probes. Four sets per acre or block is the floor; six is where we like to be for the full picture.

Pump and fertigation stations are sized to the farm, usually 1–6 sets each. Our Reservoir Farm block runs 54 sensors.

How does it connect?

Wi-Fi. Wherever we can, we ride the farm's own network — it keeps the cost down and lets us sample fast — and we drop in a gateway where it's needed.

Long range per station, line of sight — a gateway fills in wherever the farm's own network can't reach.

How often does it read?

Every few seconds — fast enough to watch the water move, not just arrive.

About every 5 seconds, on one clock — 250+ readings every 5 seconds on the block, with soil at 5, 15 and 25 cm.

Where does my data live?

On the farm, by default. It's the grower's data — it lives locally and they own it.

Will my data be shared?

Only if you choose to. Your data is yours.

Private by default, better together by choice — every farm is its own world, so a neighbor's raw data won't run your farm; opt-in pooling sharpens the models for everyone.

Which AI do you use?

We're not tied to any one AI. The model isn't the point — organizing the farm's data so any model can reason over it well, that's the point.

A local model today; can route to others as needed. Model-agnostic on purpose — the edge is the data layer, pump to plant.
